Senior Accountant

Freeport, PA

You’re More Than an Accountant—You’re a Strategic Partner

At Oberg Industries, numbers don’t just sit on spreadsheets, they tell the story of our business. We’re looking for an Accounting professional who wants to go beyond the routine and truly influence decisions, support operations, and drive continuous improvement.  If you’re someone who enjoys digging into the “why” behind the numbers, collaborating with teams across the business, and building better, smarter processes…this could be the role where you make your mark.

What You’ll Be Part Of
You won’t be stuck in accounting—you’ll be embedded in the heartbeat of a manufacturing organization, working closely with operations, leadership, and teams across the U.S.
Your work will help answer questions like:
  • Where are we winning?
  • Where can we improve?
  • How do we grow smarter and more efficiently?

What You’ll Do (and Why It Matters)
You’ll take ownership of critical financial processes while helping shape how we improve them:
  • Lead the monthly financial close and consolidated reporting, ensuring accuracy and clarity for leadership decisions
  • Analyze product line and divisional performance, helping teams understand what’s driving results
  • Partner with operations to deliver insightful, actionable financial reporting—not just numbers, but meaning
  • Own and improve general ledger integrity, reconciliations, and reporting systems
  • Prepare and communicate margin analysis and variance explanations that influence business strategy
  • Support payroll processing, rebates, and intercompany transactions across domestic and global divisions
  • Play a key role in budgeting and forecasting, helping shape the company’s future
  • Contribute to audit readiness and compliance, ensuring strong financial stewardship
  • Lead or support process improvements and automation initiatives—because we believe your time should be spent thinking, not just doing
  • Coach and mentor others, helping elevate the team around you

What It Feels Like to Work Here
  • You’re trusted to own your work and improve it
  • Your voice matters, especially when you see a better way
  • You collaborate with people who care about quality, precision, and continuous improvement
  • You’re part of a company that blends manufacturing grit with financial discipline

What You Bring
We’re looking for someone who is both technically strong and naturally curious:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • 4–5+ years of accounting experience (manufacturing experience is a strong plus)
  • Advanced Excel skills and comfort working with data
  • Strong analytical thinking, you don’t just report numbers, you interpret them
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines independently
  • High level of integrity and confidentiality
  • Clear communication skills, ability to translate financials into insights
  • Experience with ERP systems is a plus

What Makes You Stand Out
  • You enjoy connecting finance to real-world operations
  • You look for ways to automate, streamline, and improve
  • You naturally step into mentorship and leadership opportunities
  • You want to be part of something bigger than just closing the books

Work Environment
This role is primarily office-based, with time spent at your workstation and occasional interaction with our manufacturing floor—giving you real visibility into how your work connects to what we produce.  Some domestic and international travel may be part of the role.

If you’re looking for a job where you can simply check boxes and move on, this probably isn’t it.
But if you want to:
  • Be trusted with meaningful responsibility
  • Influence decisions across a business
  • Continuously improve how things are done
We would love to talk to you!

Ready to Make an Impact?
Apply today and bring your expertise to a team where your work drives real decisions—and real results.

Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability
Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026
Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
