Oberg Industries is seeking an experienced CMM / FARO Arm Operator to join our Quality team. This role is responsible for performing precision dimensional inspections using CMMs and portable measurement systems to ensure our products meet the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
- Operate touch probe and/or vision-based CMMs (PC-DMIS, Calypso, or similar) using provided programs.
- Set up and operate FARO Arm or other portable CMM systems for dimensional verification.
- Properly load and secure parts to ensure accurate measurement results.
- Perform inspections for First Article, in-process, and final verification.
- Compare measurement results to engineering drawings, CAD models, and specifications.
- Conduct basic capability and repeatability studies under guidance of Quality Engineering.
- Use hand tools (calipers, micrometers, indicators, height gauges, microscopes) for part inspection.
- Record and maintain inspection results and ensure proper documentation and traceability.
- Communicate quality issues and nonconformances to Engineers, Programmers, or Production staff.
- Support proper packaging and handling of parts for internal transfer or customer shipment.
- Perform additional quality-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Strong understanding of algebra, geometry, and trigonometry.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows applications.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- U.S. citizenship or ability to comply with U.S. export regulations.
- Ability to meet physical requirements, including wearing PPE (safety glasses, earplugs, safety shoes).
- For Aerospace Final Inspection roles: Must pass company eye exam (with correction if needed).
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree preferred.
- 3–5 years of hands-on experience in tool & die, precision machining, or a related field required.
