Oberg Industries is seeking a dedicated and skilled individual to join our team as our Inventory Control- Saw Operator. The ideal candidate will have experience working with steel stock, operating machinery, and maintaining accurate records in an industrial environment. This is an on-site position requiring attention to detail, adherence to safety standards, and the ability to work effectively in a team setting. This is a Monday through Friday, daylight position working at Oberg Industries Freeport, PA facility.

Responsibilities:
- Remove steel stock from shelves, measure and cut material as needed, ensuring appropriate stock allowances.
- Restock steel shelves and conduct inventory of steel and other components.
- Set up, operate, and change blades on cut-off saw machines.
- Deburr parts and ensure quality standards are met.
- Maintain accurate project records and documentation, including time tracking.
- Use hand measuring tools effectively.
- Complete PHR requirements for Medical and Aerospace projects.
- Store and distribute material certifications for Medical/Aerospace jobs.
- Manage raw material inventory, conduct annual inventory reviews, and order supplies as needed.
- Request material certificates of conformity for Medical/Aerospace when required.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve equipment issues using tools and experience.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to work in standing, sitting, or bent positions for up to 10 hours/day.
- Capable of lifting up to 35 pounds unassisted and with control.
- Ability to raise arms above shoulders, maintain dexterity for extended periods, and perform tasks requiring stooping or kneeling.
- Must be able to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) and meet physical requirements with or without reasonable accommodation.
Work Environment:
- Work frequently around large industrial machinery and moving mechanical parts.
- Noise levels are moderate.
- This is an on-site position with no remote work options.
Qualifications:
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Basic math skills.
- Proficiency with Windows-based computer programs.
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or compliant with U.S. export regulations.
- Must be able to wear required PPE, including earplugs, safety glasses, and safety shoes.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Prior machining experience is preferred but not required.
