Position Summary
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Driver to transport materials between local suppliers and customers while supporting general maintenance activities. This role requires professionalism, strong time management, safety awareness, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
- Transport subcontracted goods to and from local suppliers and customers safely and on schedule.
- Maintain professional interactions with customers and vendors while handling confidential information.
- Perform daily vehicle inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns promptly.
- Utilize route navigation tools and local knowledge to ensure timely deliveries.
- Interpret operating manuals, maintenance instructions, and procedural documents.
- Follow established quality standards and delivery methods.
- Assist with general maintenance duties as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized vehicle and work area.
- Follow company policies and all state and federal safety regulations.
- Support a workplace culture free of discrimination and harassment.
- Work occasional evenings or weekends as business needs require.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Ability to obtain fork truck certification.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to read and understand written instructions and correspondence.
- Ability to wear required PPE (earplugs, safety glasses, safety shoes).
- Must be a U.S. citizen or able to comply with U.S. export regulations.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future employer sponsorship.
Preferred Experience & Education
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- 1–3 years of experience in a general maintenance or facilities environment preferred.
- Clean, incident-free driving record for the past 3 years preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, sit, or bend for up to 10 hours per day.
- Lift up to 35 lbs. independently and with control.
- Reach overhead, use hands for extended periods, and maintain dexterity.
- Ability to stoop or kneel for extended durations.
- Must be able to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation.
Work Environment
- Significant time spent operating a delivery vehicle.
- Occasional outdoor exposure.
- Regular movement through manufacturing areas near industrial machinery and moderate noise levels.
- This is an on-site role; remote work is not available.
